"We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living… Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment." - Thich Nhat Hanh

Mindfulness trains the mind to be open, quiet, and alert. When you practice mindfulness, you slow down and notice the moment you find yourself in, not a past moment or a future one. And as you establish yourself in mindfulness, you begin to see things as they actually are, not through the veil of our habits or conditioning. With that ability comes peace.

Join for us for An Afternoon of Mindfulness dedicated to restoring and nourishing our minds and bodies, developing and deepening our awareness, and learning to be present in the moment. Mindfulness helps us heal, achieve change, and reduce stress in our daily lives. Mindfulness allows you to meet your life openly and engage completely without one’s habitual patterns of avoidance or attachment. It develops curious, open-hearted awareness. The Afternoon will include mindful movement, conscious breathing, sitting and walking meditation, and a short talk. The workshop will be held in Noble Silence, although there will be instructions for each segment of the afternoon, and time for discussion and questions at closing.
