This program, based on Baron Baptiste's book 40 Days to Personal Revolution, includes daily yoga, eating well and meditation and has had great success nation-wide, especially when supported by a studio.

This program includes unlimited yoga and weekly support meetings at Innerlight on Fridays at Noon. It also includes unlimited yoga in four participating studios. All That Matters in Wakefield, Tenth Gate in Portsmouth, and Salt Pond Yoga in Charlestown. All That Matters weekly gathering will be held Wednesday at 7:30pm. Tenth Gate’s will be held Tuesdays at 7:15pm.

Looking to establish a stronger practice and experience personal change in 2009? Join us in committing to 40 days of yoga, eating healthy and meditating regularly. You know how great it feels after a yoga class. What if you could have that great feeling every day? What if, at the same time you were eating healthy and learning how to meditate? What if you were also learning and experiencing the spiritual principles behind it all? And finally, what if you were doing this with a group of like-minded people supporting you each day? A regular and consistent practice builds strength, stamina, flexibility, balance and co-ordination. It will keep your mind focused and build confidence, relieve stress and tension, purify the blood, improve circulation and breath, and restore health and vitality.

Old patterns and habits take 21 days to change, and it takes the same amount of time to establish new patterns. Challenge yourself...improve your health and well being. Throughout the 40 days, you are encouraged to do 6 yoga classes a week (you can do them anywhere, any style), come to weekly support meetings, eat well (recommendation will be provided), and meditate (instruction and guidance will be provided.) Teachers will be available online and at each Friday gathering to offer yoga, diet and meditation instruction and support. 80 people participated in January and February 2009.

  • “Physically, I feel much stronger, more balanced, healthier. After sampling so many different classes and teachers I think I finally have the confidence to walk into any yoga class and know that I will be okay. I have also quieted my inner critic and realize that every class I go to has something of value, some benefit, some gift. I just have to pay attention.

WE WILL BE MEETING EVERY FRIDAY STARTING
May 22, 2009 FROM 12pm – 1pm at Innerlight

(Many folks go to yoga before; this weekly meeting follows 2 yoga classes.) It is really helpful to get to all of the weekly meetings; if you cannot, we make every effort to keep you updated. You can also attend the weekly meetings at other studios Monday and Wednesday night. This program will be directed by Kim Chandler. Presenters will include: Joan Dwyer and Elizabeth Bessette

Q&A

1. What does the $300 include?

- unlimited yoga at Innerlight and all participating studios (6 classes a week are recommended)
- Weekly gathering meetings- which include discussion and teachings on meditation, nutrition, and yoga.

2. How do I get started?

Just come to the first meeting- if you want to read ahead- read The Laws of Transformation (pp. 1-64, 40 Days to Personal Revolution). Bring any questions.

3. What is up with the diet stuff? Is it really strict?

There are no strict rules but we offer guidelines for eating a more whole food based diet. Baron's book offers a framework that we can use to look at our diets and approach them with consciousness. Each week will provide a new insight into eating and information. Mid way we do a 3 day fruit and veggie fast. There will be lots of support and information on both food, yoga and meditation.

4. If I miss 1 day have I blown the whole thing?

We all are making this commitment and as such need to make every effort to participate fully. But hey, stuff happens. Forgive yourself and move on! If you can't get to yoga, take a walk. There are many levels of participation and that varies from day to day sometimes.

5. Do I have to take all classes at Innerlight?

It is always easier and more insightful to do yoga with a live teacher- and we offer 30 classes a week. With that said- this program starts out with 20 minutes of yoga a week... you can do it to a dvd, at home or in any studio. AND- you can take yoga at the other participating studios!
